FAQ: FAQ

WHY MOORE & CO. PROPERTY TAX CONSULTANTS?

It's simple, we provide the best service and specialize in providing tax payers a combination of local expertise and superior client services. Each of our consultants have extensive knowledge in the tax appeals process to meet your business needs.

HOW WILL YOU LOWER MY PROPERTY TAX VALUE?

By establishing data needs and timelines, MPTC will perform a review on annual assessments, conduct filings, identify tax savings opportunities and aggressively present tax appeals on your behalf during the appeals process.

HOW DOES A CONTINGENCY FEE WORK?

MPTC works on a contingency fee basis, therefore our goal is to save our customers money so it becomes a win-win situation. If there are no taxable savings, then there is no charge.

Here is a typical Contingency Fee Example: John receives a notice from the appraisal district which states that his initial property value is $200,000. John believes he is unequally appraised and hires MPTC to protest his property value. MPTC files a protest and completes the appeals process, negotiating a property value of $190,000 which saves John $10,000. Since the appraisal district's tax rate is 3% and the assessment ratio is 100%, John receives a tax savings of $300. Because MPTC and John agreed to a contingent fee of 25%, John pays MPTC a total of $75. However, if the property value is not lowered then John is not invoiced and does not pay a fee.
